ENGLISH LANGUAGE IMPROV

When:
Mondays at 18-20

Where:
Speilsalen, Det Akademiske Kvarter

Improv - Improvised theatre is where we express ourselves without a script. As a group we will bring stories and relationships together spontaneously. The workshops are built of exercises and playing scenes to give confidence in expressing ourselves in front of others, to create characters and develop relationships on stage.

While improvised theatre can be of any genre, our focus will on comedic theatre and we’ll try to have as much fun as possible doing it.

You can try out the group three times before being required to sign a membership!

There is no right way of doing improv, and everyone will find their own style, nonetheless there are some universal attributes to strengthen including listening to the others, supporting the ideas your scene-partners make, making surprising and creative choices, and ensuring everyone is having fun doing scenes.

The workshops are open to all adults (whether you are affiliated to the university or not) and will be taught in English. Improv is equally for those with and without a theatre background – No prior experience is expected.
